Dimitris is a computer scientist (bachelor and master’s degree), mathematician (bachelor's degree) but, most of all, a passionate Drupal developer. Born in Serres, Greece, he now lives in Thessaloniki. He studied at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and has worked primarily in state-of-the-art EU funded competitive projects, as a member or leader of remote development teams by applying the principles and techniques of computer science and mathematical analysis in software engineering.
Dimitris began working as a developer in a private company, using mainly Microsoft web technologies, before jumping into EU funded projects as a developer in 2004, under Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since 2009, Dimitris has been developing applications based on Drupal. Drawing inspiration from Amazee Labs and our well-known reputation for quality and company culture in the Drupal community, Dimitris couldn’t wait to be part of the team.
His favourite quote is by Linus Torvalds: “Talk is cheap. Show me the code.”
A big fan of Hollywood blockbuster movies, Dimitris is proud to have played a supporting role in a movie directed by Theodoros Aggelopoulos, called “The Suspended Step of the Stork”, next to legends such as Marcello Mastroianni and Jeanne Moreau. He didn’t win an Oscar though, so he decided to dedicate his life to computer science.
