Meet Our New Frontend Developer – Joelle Symons
Joelle was born in London but grew up in Strasbourg. She returned to the UK to study Sound Engineering in Birmingham. After completing her studies, Joelle soon found her calling as a developer and jumped into the deep end by taking on an intensive internship. During this internship, at a digital agency based in Birmingham, Joelle learnt all the skills necessary to create elegant and accessible websites in both Drupal and WordPress.
Years of experience later, and with a Drupal 9 frontend specialist certification under her belt, Joelle has honed her frontend development skills and loves being able to faithfully implement the vision of the designer by using engaging and interactive animation.
A great day for Joelle is when the whole team has the “let’s do this!” feeling and time flies by because everyone is in the zone, making strides and pushing towards the same goal. She is excited to be joining Amazee Labs and eager to embrace a company that champions remote working and new technical challenges.
After work hours, Joelle swaps the design studio for a dance studio, practising a wide range of styles almost every evening of the week. She also enjoys travelling around in her campervan, beating people at table football, playing piano, photography and reading.
