On October 13 and 14 the conference “Web 2.0 Kongress Hamburg” took place. Amazee was one of 10 startups nominated for the Startup Award 2008, which is why I went to Hamburg on Monday morning, attended the conference and pitched at the Startup Award 2008.
First, Mathias Moeller took up work with Amazee. After a one-month traineeship and two fine weeks of holiday in the Toscana (Italy) he's back again - which means that we are 5 now. Welcome Matze! it's good to have you back. Secondly, our pitching queen Dania participated in yesterdays startup competition at the Web 2.0 conference in Hamburg (Germany) - and got in second (52 votes)! A big kiss from Zurich (Switzerland)! This is the list of participants, and this is the winner (54 votes): younect.de Congratulations!
and for those of you interested in the development of Amazee: don't miss our Drupal Case study on drupal.org
A couple of weeks ago I met Kieran Lal from Dupal/Acquia at OSCON in Portland. I told him about Amazee, what we do, and how we do it. Some days later Kieran invited us to write a case study for drupal.org.
Like every Web Monday a happy crowd of Swiss and German Web entrepreneurs and afficionados met for drinks and exchange.
Are you part of a project that has the potential to really, really improve the world? If yes, don't miss to apply for Google's 10^100 project through which the company is soliciting ideas for projects that have the potential to change the world and help as many people as possible.
We're proud to announce our partnership with the consolidator of all social actions - Montreal based "Social Actions".
It seems like things are taking off this morning. Quite an impressive number of new members of the Amazee family overnight and a bunch of new and exciting projects are testimony to the impact press coverage is having on Amazee. Right now we are looking through who's writing what and then we send the mob over to those who dare criticize too much. NO! We appreciate any input! Keep it coming (the criticism and the claps on the shoulder)!
