Have you ever watched a movie and felt like you were actually there? The new virtual reality technologies take this feeling a (huge) step further. Companies are beginning to pick up on this and use this technology, especially 360° videos, for marketing. We’ve had two experts sharing their experience with 360° video projects for their organizations.

About a week ago, 1,024 people were probably quite excited packing for what would be a not-to-be-forgotten event: their first ever DrupalCon. Some would be flying to New Orleans from as far away as Australia, some driving 8+ hours, some travelling with their co-workers, some by themselves. I bet most shared the same goal I had: to learn as much as possible. And I bet all of them discovered that while learning is important, DrupalCons are really about the people.
Over 3,100 people attended DrupalCon New Orleans last week, a successful event by any measure. I spent some time talking with a few attendees in an attempt to tell a collective story through the accounts of a few. This is Humans of DrupalCon: New Orleans.
DrupalCon New Orleans marks my 7th DrupalCon — the third as a member of the program team. Having been to many of these throughout the years, the cons continue to provide vast opportunity for professional inspiration and connections with exceptional people. They're also exhaustively fun and a great way to travel.
Much to our delight, the Amazee Labs lounge has been a topic of conversation here at DrupalCon New Orleans. We also love a good lounge, and this sponsorship is, and has been, an opportunity to showcase our passion for design, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. The cherry on top? We make a bunch of new friends by inviting people to hang with Amazee Labs.
We all know the English idiom that "A picture is worth more than a thousand words". Coming from 1911, this statement is also true more than ever in the digital age we're living in today. One can hardly disagree that some of the key smartphone features are its camera, the picture quality and the possibility to share them. At the #SMGZH of April 6, 2016 we learned from Thomas Benkö and Adrian Seitz about good ways to use Instagram to ensure a good online presence and how to let pictures talk.
TexasCamp 2016 took place over the weekend in The Big D — that's Dallas, TX for those of you not from around these parts. The Amazee Labs Austin team headed North to attend the two-day event, as Drupalers, networkers, and official Saturday night party sponsors.
This weekend, Michael Schmid and I are attending the Midwest’s premier Drupal event, Midcamp. Formerly Madcamp, or DrupalCamp Chicago, this event is March 16-19, 2016 at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), in - you guessed it - Chicago, Illinois.
On March 9, 2016 I was lucky enough to get a spot at the inauguration event of ‘we shape tech’. Eagerly anticipating the date, I was really glad Dagmar joined me. With more than 100 women gathering at Impact Hub Zürich the first meet-up was a great success.
DrupalCon Asia was an impressive and very successful event, bringing together more than 1000 Drupalistas from India, Asia and the entire world.
This conference was special in many ways. The spirits of the various Indian Drupal communities definitely had a huge impact on how outside visitors, like myself, perceived the whole conference. It was great to see so many people from all over India and beyond gather for 4 days of sessions, sprinting, BoFs and more.
