The Austin team made quite the splash at BADcamp this year. While it was my fourth BADcamp, for the rest of my team, it was their first time attending. Bonus: we were all speaking!

Everyone has a routine. For some, it’s their morning coffee, for others it’s going to the gym after work. For me, it’s heading to Mangia Pizza every Thursday from 7pm-9pm, for the last 6 years. Why do I do this? Because the Austin Drupal Dojo meets every Thursday, and we have a great crowd!

About a week ago, 1,024 people were probably quite excited packing for what would be a not-to-be-forgotten event: their first ever DrupalCon. Some would be flying to New Orleans from as far away as Australia, some driving 8+ hours, some travelling with their co-workers, some by themselves. I bet most shared the same goal I had: to learn as much as possible. And I bet all of them discovered that while learning is important, DrupalCons are really about the people.
