2017 Amazee Group CEO workshop

During the first couple of weeks of April all the Amazees from all our locations were invited to not only celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the Amazee Group, but also to use the opportunity to work and collaborate together.

As the Group CEOs, we couldn't let this golden moment pass us by and we got together to share our thoughts, hopes and strategic goals for the various Amazee companies.

The Amazee CEOs at the 2017 CEO workshop April 4, 2017

On 4 & 5 April 2017 all CEO's of the Amazee Group, Dania Gerhardt from the Amazee Labs Cape Town office, Johanna Bergmann from Amazee.io, Evelyn Thar from Amazee Metrics, Michael Schmid from the Austin Amazee Labs office and I met for our annual CEO workshop, which was led by our group chairman Gregory Gerhardt.

In an exercise to get to know ourselves and our peers better we went through an exercise and prepared by answering questions about what we like, do, react etc. This resulted in an individual Enneagram style report for each of us.

We worked with Pierre Bester from the Abilene Project who guided us through the journey, presented and discussed the results during the morning of our first workshop day. After a fantastic lunch, we spent the afternoon discussing operational goals and opportunities.

On the second day of the workshop, we worked our way through our strategy. We checked where each of our group companies stands today, where we want to be in a couple of years and how we can achieve our qualitative and quantitative goals that have been set.

After some healthy discussions we made great progress and although I can't reveal too much details at this stage, what I can tell you is that we intend to continue being successful with our clients, a great employer for our people and to give back to the community.

The rest? Stay tuned - you'll see! We've got some nice aces up our sleeves and will play them just right.
